The "Ramadan Basket" initiative is a cornerstone of the annual solidarity efforts prioritized by the Asmdar Association. We aim to alleviate the increasing financial burden on underprivileged families in the village of Aghir Kantoula during the holy month of fasting. This initiative is not limited to distributing basic food supplies; we focus meticulously on the quality and variety of the selected items to ensure they meet the needs of the Ramadan table with dignity and respect. This enhances the values of social interdependence, ensures that no family feels isolated or in need during this blessed month, and strengthens the brotherly bonds that unite the people of the region under the banner of social synergy.
"Eid Joy" Initiative for Sacrificial Animals
Believing in every family's right to observe the rituals of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, the association organizes the annual "Eid Joy" initiative for the benefit of widows, orphans, and the most vulnerable families. Through an accurate and updated database, we identify the target groups to ensure that support reaches those who deserve it most, whether by providing sacrificial animals or distributing sufficient meat portions. This step primarily aims to bring happiness to children's hearts and preserve the religious and social traditions of the region, while alleviating the psychological and financial pressures that families face during this great occasion.
"Knowledge Schoolbag" Initiative for Educational Support
The "Knowledge Schoolbag" project represents a true investment in the future of our rising generations. Launched in conjunction with the start of the school year, the initiative provides backpacks equipped with all necessary tools, notebooks, and books for students. It is a strategic initiative aimed at combating school dropout and encouraging children to continue their education despite financial difficulties. It also works to reduce the high costs for needy families and ensure an equal educational start for all students, boosting their self-confidence and reducing social disparities within the region's educational institutions.
"DIF-E" (Warmth) Campaign Against Cold Waves
Given the mountainous geographic location of Aghir Kantoula and the harsh climate characterizing the highlands of Imi Nolaun, the "Warmth" campaign serves as an urgent and necessary humanitarian response to face frost waves. The initiative includes distributing heavy winter clothing and high-quality wool blankets to protect vulnerable groups, especially children and the elderly. Through this field intervention, we aim to provide the minimum conditions for a dignified life and ensure the health and safety of the population in the face of freezing temperatures that often drop below zero during the winter season.
Asmdar Emergency Medical Fund
The Emergency Medical Fund serves as a health safety net and a mechanism for rapid intervention in critical and sudden health situations facing the people of our village. The resources of this fund are allocated to cover the costs of urgent surgical operations, purchase medications for chronic diseases that are unavailable, or contribute to the costs of transportation to provincial and university hospitals. It is a living embodiment of the principle of solidarity adopted by the association, seeking to save lives in moments of human vulnerability and protecting families from the specter of heavy debt that may result from sudden health crises.
